RippleCore for universities
RippleCore for universities: a Circle for the place you already belong to, where the good you do for each other is on the record.
University is where a lot of people first do something kind for somebody they have just met: notes shared the night before an exam, a walk home that was not on anybody’s way, a stranger talked down off a ledge at 2am.
Almost none of it is noticed, and none of it is remembered. A Circle changes the second half of that. It is a space for your halls, your society, your course group or the whole campus, and what goes into it is what people did for each other.
What lands in it
- Moments — a post with a photo or two, and the people who were there tagged on it.
- Ripples — somebody reads a moment and does their own, and the link back to where the idea came from is kept.
- Challenges — the same goal for the whole Circle, joined with a tap and marked done when you have.
- Events and volunteering — what is coming up, and where help is wanted this week.
- Badges — read off what you have actually done, never handed out.
Getting in
Every Circle has a way in, and the university decides which.
A student-run Circle is often open: somebody shares a code in a group chat, or the Circle appears in Search, and the code or the tap is the whole of it. A Circle the university itself runs is more likely to ask first — you answer a question or two and an officer decides.
A Circle can also be unlisted. Then it does not appear in Search at all, and the code is the only way to it.

A safeguarded Circle: not listed anywhere, so only the people it was made for come across it.
